The North Peace Commercial Driving Academy (NPCDA) is celebrating a monumental achievement for one of its newest graduates.

Abbey Unrau recently passed her Class 1 road test and is now a fully licensed, unrestricted Class 1 driver, thanks to the comprehensive training she received at the Grimshaw Driving Academy.

Abbey’s success was capped off with a truly rare feat—she achieved a perfect score on the pre-trip inspection portion of her provincial exam.

Following her exam, the provincial examiner shared with NPCDA administration that he only gives a perfect pre-trip score approximately once every five years.

Abbey credits the supportive environment at the academy for her success. She noted that it was an “enjoyable process,” and it was evident that both of her instructors “really care about their students.”

Now holding her unrestricted Class 1 license, Abbey will be using her new skills on the farm, hauling grain, and she is eager to see where else this new figurative tool in her toolbox will take her.
