To promote the establishment of shelterbelts in the MD of Fairview, the Agricultural Service Board bulk orders trees from Woodmere Nursery for residents to purchase.
Shelterbelt trees provide beauty and fantastic shade as well as reduce wind erosion, water erosion, help to conserve energy in houses and provide food and shelter for birds and wildlife.
All available species may have limited quantities. When the they are spoken for, a waiting list will be created with no guarantees. Substitutions are sometimes made.
Seeding trees will be available for pickup in late May or early June.
