Lemonade Day is a province-wide initiative that gives youth, kindergarten age and up, the opportunity to learn valuable entrepreneurial skills by planning and operating their own lemonade stands. This year, Lemonade Day is adding Manning to its host communities, in addition to Peace River and Fairview on June 13. These three communities are served by Lemonade Day partner Community Futures Peace Country (CFPC).
Lemonade Day participants create business plans, obtain business licenses, secure stand locations, develop recipes and design their booths. They attend “Lemonade University” to learn the skills needed to execute their business plans. And, at the end of the day, they get to keep all their profits.
CFPC is grateful to the Fairview and District Chamber of Commerce and the Manning FCSS for their help in securing these host communities.
Registration for Lemonade Day opened March 1 at lemonadedaynorthernalberta.com
