A Law Practice Built for Northern Alberta Reinders Law | Manning, AB

Meet Kelli Reinders. She grew up in the Manning area where her parents farmed and ran a local business during the winter months.

Today, Reinders is an entrepreneur who offers client-centred care out of her law firm in Manning.

“I was born and raised in Deadwood. I went to school there for kindergarten and then bussed to Manning for Grades 1 to 12,” said Reinders. “My two sisters and I were frequently

involved in sports and extra curricular activities in the area.”

Reinders Law

In 2018, she started her own practice, Reinders Law. As the sole lawyer at her firm, she puts her name on her work. Reinders specializes in real estate, estate-related legal services and support for farms and businesses, serving clients far and wide—throughout the Manning, High Level, Peace River and Fairview areas.

“I remember wanting to be a lawyer from a very young age—they were smart, and I was smart. The profession just always interested me. So, when the time came, I went for it,” said Reinders.

Reinders earned a Bachelor of Arts in Native Studies and then a Juris Doctor (law degree). In addition to her formal training, Reinders has local experience.

“I provide approachable, locally-grounded legal services while balancing family, community connection and the unique realities of life in the North,” said Reinders. “I love applying my legal knowledge to our specific area. Our region is very unique, and that applies to the legal areas as well.”

After finishing university and practicing at a small firm in Edmonton, Reinders and her husband decided to move their family back to Manning in 2017.

“I was in search of more flexibility in our lives. We had a young family, and trying to juggle my profession with being a mom was challenging,” said Reinders. “I also wanted to be my own boss. It allows me to be more hands-on while raising my kids.”

Reinders’ focus is to continue supporting her client base in Manning and grow more into the High Level, Peace River and Fairview areas.

“Long term, I would love to add another local lawyer who wants to build a life up North and grow Reinders Law with me.”

Services

Reinders Law focuses primarily on assisting clients with real estate matters. If you live locally and are buying, selling, refinancing or planning for some type of transition, see if Reinders Law can help.

“We specialize in helping farmers—whether it’s growing their farm, downsizing or bringing family members in through succession planning,” said Reinders. “And, if you’re looking to buy or sell land and don’t know what your next step is, call us. Explain what you’re trying to achieve, and I’ll talk you through the process.”

Beyond real estate, the firm supports individuals and families during significant moments, both planned and unexpected.

“We help people prepare wills, assist with estate administration when a loved one passes away, and we really enjoy helping to set up businesses,” said Reinders. “Incorporating a business from square one and helping it grow into a successful enterprise is very rewarding.”

Client Experience

One of Reinders Law’s biggest competitive advantages is its size. As a small firm, clients work directly with Reinders throughout.

“My personal touch is on all of our files, and I’m usually the person calling you back and talking directly with you,” said Reinders. “I encourage clients to come in and have a chat with me and see if we’re a good fit. I want a really positive client experience and to establish relationships that last for years to come.”

Reinders is aware choosing a law firm can feel intimidating, especially for those seeking legal help for the first time.

“I strive to be approachable, down to earth and informative,” said Reinders. “I want clients to understand how everything works and feel confident when they leave my office.”

For Reinders, the communication she provides throughout is just as important as the legal outcome.

“I want them to feel they’ve made the right choice and that I’m going to help them with their matter and provide options,” said Reinders. “Ultimately, I want my clients to come back and tell their family and friends about their positive experience.”

Making Connections

“We’re always looking to make connections in the area,” said Reinders. “Even if you don’t need a lawyer right now, there may be opportunities to build relationships, support nonprofits or talk about the unique challenges and successes of Northern Alberta.”

For Reinders, connections are what make her work meaningful and her practice firmly rooted in the community she calls home.

“If you, or someone you know, is interested in buying or selling land and doesn’t know what the next step is, call us.”
