In May, the County of Northern Lights announced the 2023 Community Capital Assistance Program (CCAP) grant recipients.
This year’s recipients are:
Dixonville LIFE Ag Society
$10,000 to replace the riding arena and corral
Manning & District Ski Club
$20,000 to purchase a mini snowcat
Weberville Revitalization Society
$10,000 to improve the Weberville Hall and Leddy Lake Campground
St. James Anglican Church (Peace River)
$10,000 to replace wheelchair ramp at Athabasca Hall
The CCAP grant provides capital funding for major projects that involve purchasing, construction, upgrading or significant renovation of recreational and cultural facilities within the county and its support communities. Council sets the total funds available per year during annual budget deliberations.
The program opens in early spring, with the application deadline being the last Friday in April.
