Getting the Job Done Right for 38 Years
Craig’s Carpentry | County of Northern Lights

From the Manning area, Craig Lambert turned his childhood love of craftsmanship into a carpentry and general contracting company he now builds with his family. Need to upgrade, renovate or build something new for your home or business? See if Craig can help.
Specializing in industrial shops, Craig’s Carpentry also does renovations, new builds and remodels for residential, farm and commercial clients.
“I’ve lived in the Manning area all my life,” said Lambert. “After completing my Red Seal in 1987, I went back to home and started my business from the ground up.”
Today, Craig’s Carpentry provides bobcat services and specializes in farm shops, garages, pole sheds, office buildings, insulated concrete form foundations, flatwork, framing, insulation, drywall, painting, millwork and cabinetry.

What started as a one-man operation has become a family business. His wife Yvonne plays a key role, handling the bookkeeping, accounting, contracts and office duties.
In 2010, Lambert’s youngest son Jason began helping on job sites at the age of 12. Earning his journeyman certificate in 2021, Jason is now an integral part of the business.
“Between the two of us, we are able to manage the majority of the jobs that come our way,” said Lambert.
When projects require additional manpower, the company brings in a larger team to meet demand.
Over the course of his career, Lambert has completed approximately 12 commercial industrial buildings across Alberta and Northern BC.
“I specialize in general contracting, and the most popular service we provide is building commercial industrial shops,” said Lambert.
In addition to quality craftsmanship, one thing that sets Craig’s Carpentry apart is their dedication to manage projects from start to finish without compromising quality. Rather than juggling multiple jobs at once, he commits fully to each project, seeing it through from beginning to completion.
“When I start a job, I focus solely on getting it done from start to finish,” said Lambert. “When clients hire me, they can expect the job will be done well because it is done to the best of my ability.”

This philosophy has played a key role in the company’s success over the last 38 years.
“I have very high standards when it comes to my company,” said Lambert. “This is evident from when I first start a job to when it’s completed.”
For Lambert, several projects stand out as highlights. In 2010, Craig’s Carpentry completed two commercial shops in the same year, one in Dawson Creek, BC, and one in Drayton Valley, AB.
“It was both challenging and rewarding,” said Lambert. “Contracting two jobs in two different provinces was no small task.”
Another notable project was an industrial shop completed in Whitecourt, AB in 2006. At the time, it was one of the largest projects Craig’s Carpentry had undertaken and remains a point of pride.
“Doing these commercial industrial shops is what I like best,” said Lambert.

Looking ahead, Lambert is realistic about the future while remaining committed to the present. The focus for now remains the same—serving clients with the same dedication that built Craig’s Carpentry into what it is today.
“I realize that I am not getting any younger,” said Lambert. “I foresee my company in the very capable hands of my son Jason.”
In the meantime, Craig Lambert is not going to stop doing what he does best: building solid structures, strong relationships and a reputation grounded in experience, integrity and pride in a job done right.
