Lemonade Day was officially held on June 17, and young entrepreneurs in Peace River and Berwyn took to the streets to share their unique recipes with eager customers throughout the day.
Facilitated by Community Futures Peace Country, Lemonade Day participants of kindergarten age to 17 were required to make a business plan, sign a lease agreement, get a business license, follow AHS food handling rules, create their very own recipes, make their own stands and sell their wares on June 17.
Fourteen stands operated in Peace River and two stands operated in Berwyn.
A panel of judges visited each participating stand, and the following participants were recognized:

The judges were very impressed with the hard work, time, creativity and heart demonstrated by the young entrepreneurs. They applaud every single participant for their motivation, creativity and hard work.
